Bel Campbell is a multi-disciplinary designer based in Sydney, Australia.
Bel is a curious maker, and finds herself working across all manner of mediums including ink, textiles, timber and steel. While her creations range from experimental abstract compositions, to portraiture, to considered geometric structures, they are always grounded in the natural characteristics of the material she is working with.
In 2015 Bel launched her collection of steel objects which she designs and makes in her workshop in Narrabri, NSW.
Bel is currently Creative Director of Intersticia and it's Foundation where she manages branding and design as well as wider creative strategy with the development of new Foundation projects. In April Intersticia hosted Brave Conversations 2017 Web Science Conference, exploring the exciting and challenging realities of the changing role of technology in our lives. She is now working on Future Worlds Challenge - a unique educational experience preparing today's youth for tomorrow.
Bel has published one book, Salbinda The Restoration, which tells the story of the restoration of the first house built by world-renowned Australian architect Richard Leplastrier. The book features interviews with previous and current owners and all members of the restoration team, original photography and paintings by Bel; as well as architectural drawings by Bec Evans and photography by Leigh Woolley. Bel Campbell volunteers her creative skills to a number of organisations including The Secret Garden Music Festival, YARN Australia and The Public Interest Advocacy Centre.
